BIOMIMIC technology being developed by EyeOnDrug is a new system based on mimetic models of biological interfaces that supports the reliable correlation between the results of the pharmacokinetic predictors of the drugs tested in the in vitro assays and the in vivo behavior of these drugs.This technology is based on nanostructured systems whose composition is variable and mimics the membrane composition of some of the body's most relevant tissues, such as: cutaneous epithelial, digestive epithelial, gastric, pulmonary, cerebral, cardiac and mitochondrial epithelial. These systems offer superior stability and versatility compared to conventional distribution models (animal cells and tissues or biphasic systems of an organic solvent and water) which, combined with their lower toxicity and ease of production make them perfect for screening of drugs.

BIOMIMIC technology can be applied to any type of screening test in a simple and less expensive way than the use of animal and cellular models.
